Title: Identity Theft over GSM – Risks, Reasons, Resolutions

Abstract:
A ubiquitous and widely trusted technology will be considered; the discussion will also present a practical overview of contentious, yet underestimated ID theft risks. A number of shortcomings or features in today’s GSM infrastructure will be explained in light of potential attacks. Existing solutions and critical research areas will be highlighted with practical examples.
