Title: Increasing Awareness of Privacy Issues in Clouds Abstract: Cloud Computing is the latest development in 'on demand’ resource sharing for businesses. Cloud technology can offer key advantages to many aspects of real-world processes, simple through an internet connection. However, this talk will look at the challenges that users face with cloud computing, for example International Laws and control which can hinder the advantages of cloud technologies, especially on their privacy. We will address and discuss the following questions: What role should the cloud service provider play in protecting privacy? What are the long term impacts of lack of standardised regulations and international privacy laws on the success of cloud computing success? Privacy Vs Technology – should we accept we no long have privacy? Can a regulatory framework be developed?
