Title: Speaker Recognition and Voice Biometrics Abstract: Biometric systems are systems that deal with a calculated representation of the biological traits of human beings. Studies have identified various unique characteristics in human beings. In time, ways to measure and compare these unique characteristics have been developed. The main use of biometric systems is to uniquely identify a person. The uses of biometric systems are all somehow related to authentication systems and forensic analysis. In this talk, I shall give a light overview of voice forensics and computational speaker recognition, covering motivation/scope and the classical computational techniques employed for this problem.
