COMMISSION AGENTS (LICENCES) 
REGULATIONS

Title. 
(Licences) Regulations.
Interpretation.
Cap. 13.
"the Council" means the Council of the Chamber of Commerce.
Fee to be levied.
of a licence to act as a Commission Agent under the provisions of
article 71 of the Code shall be -
(i) the sum of Lm10 which shall be payable on or
before the grant of the licence; and thereafter
(ii) the sum of Lm10 (hereinafter called "the annual
fee") which shall be payable on the 1st January
in each year during the currency of the licence.
Failure to pay fee.
the 1st January in any year is not paid before the 1st February in
that year, the Council shall, as soon after the 1st February as may
be convenient, address a communication to the person whose
annual fee has not so been paid drawing his attention to his failure
to pay such fee, and the Council shall be deemed to have complied
with this regulation if such communication be sent pre-paid, by
registered post, to the usual or last known address of the person
whose fee has not so been paid.
Lapse of licence.
date upon which the communication aforesaid has been sent by
post, the licence to which it relates shall cease to be in force  sine
die ,   and if the person to whom it was granted wishes again to act as
a Commission Agent he shall be required to apply for a new licence
in accordance with the provisions of article 71 of the Code.
(2) In considering under that article any such application and
the fitness of the applicant to act as a commission agent, the
Council may take into consideration the previous failure of the
applicant to pay the annual fee and of any explanation regarding
that failure which the applicant may adduce.
(3) When a licence ceases to be in force, the fact shall be
notified in the Gazette.
