IMPORTATION OF MEAT REGULATIONS

Prohibition of 
importation of 
certain meat.
3. No person may import any meat other than chilled, frozen
or processed meat. 
Importation of 
frozen meat to be 
accompanied by 
documents.
4. No person may import any chilled, frozen or processed
meat unless each consignment of such meat is accompanied by a
document or documents to the satisfaction of the Superintendent of
Public Health, such document or documents showing in particular - 
( a ) that the meat to which the document, or documents,
relates was derived from animals which were
inspected, in the country of origin of the meat, before
and after the slaughter and were found free of disease
at the time of slaughter; and 
( b ) that all the dressings, preparation, processing, packing
and labelling of the meat was carried out with such
precautions and with such materials and equipment
and in such manner as to preclude any danger to
health. 
Stamping of 
imported meat.
5. The Superintendent of Public Health may order any
imported meat to be stamped in such manner as he deems
necessary.
