MEAT BURGERS STANDARDS REGULATIONS

Title.
Regulations.
Interpretation.
"cereal" includes rice flour and starch;
"meat" means the lean flesh together with fat;
"meat burger" means any kind of meat cake, whether cooked or
uncooked, and includes beefburger and hamburger.
Meat burgers to 
conform to 
standards.
3. No meat burgers may be imported, manufactured,
prepared, kept for sale, exposed or otherwise displayed for sale,
served in any to catering establishment, sold as take away food or
in any other way sold  (whether by wholesale or retail) unless the
said meat burgers comply with the standards laid down in the
second column of the Schedule in respect of the item listed in the
first column of that Schedule.
Labelling.
otherwise display for sale, or sell (whether by wholesale or retail)
any meat burgers in a package or container unless there is attached
or affixed to or printed on or included in the container a proper
label showing -
( a ) the brand or trade name, if any, and a description of
the product;
( b ) the name and address of the manufacturer or person
responsible for the product;
( c ) the type or types of meat used;
( d ) a correct declaration of the net contents in terms of
weight and number of units;
( e ) the name or number, if any, of the colouring matter or
preservative used;
( f ) the fact that it contains seasoning or cereal, if any is
used.
(2) A label which cannot be easily read without opening the
package or container (if these are unopened) or otherwise without
handling their contents shall not be deemed to be a proper label for
the purpose of sub-regulation (1).
