GROUND, MINCED AND CHOPPED MEAT 
STANDARDS REGULATIONS

Title.
Chopped Meat Standards Regulations.
Interpretation.
"meat" means the lean flesh together with fat.
Standards for 
ground minced and 
chopped meat.
3. No ground, minced or chopped meat may be imported,
manufactured, prepared, kept for sale, exposed or otherwise
displayed for sale, served in any catering establishment, sold as
take-away food or  in any other way sold (whether by wholesale or
retail) unless the said meat complies with the standards laid down
in the Second Column of the Schedule in respect of the item listed
in the First Column of the said Schedule.
Labelling.
prepacked food, the said meat shall be wrapped in a transparent
wrapper and heatsealed or machine clipped, and shall have attached
or affixed to, or printed on, the said wrapper a proper label
showing-
( a ) the brand or trade name, if any, and a description of the
product;
( b ) the name and address of the manufacturer or person
responsible for the product;
( c ) the type or types of meat used; and
( d ) a correct declaration of the net weight.
