2. (1) The whole of the territory of the Commonwealth of
Australia is to be considered a reciprocating country, with
reciprocity restricted to the maintenance of a party to a marriage or
of a child of a marriage, for the purposes of the Maintenance
Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act.
(2) The provisions of subarticle (1) shall be subject to the
condition that, in the event of the benefits conferred by the
Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act being applied to
maintenance orders made by the courts of the Commonwealth of
Australia, similar benefits will in that country be applied to
maintenance orders made by the courts of Malta.
