DOOR-TO-DOOR SALESMEN (LICENCES) 
REGULATIONS

Title.

Interpretation.

"Department" means the Department of Consumer Affairs;
"Director" means the Director of Consumer Affairs.
Applications for 
licences.
3. An application for the issue of a licence to act as a
door-to-door salesman shall be made to the Director on a form
which shall be obtained from the Director, and shall contain all the
particulars stated in the said form, and be accompanied by all the
documents indicated on the form.
Licence fees.
renewal of a licence to act as a door-to-door salesman, a fee of
twenty liri.
Form of licence.
the form as set out in the First Schedule.
Identification of 
salesmen.
6. (1) A door-to-door salesman duly licensed in accordance
with the Act, shall at all times during which he is making use of
such licence carry with him an identity card which shall be issued
by the Director.
(2) The identity card referred to in subregulation (1) shall be in
the form as set out in the Second Schedule and shall be shown by
the salesman to the consumer, at the request of the latter.
Applications for 
renewal of 
licences.
7. Applications for the renewal of licenses to act as
door-to-door salesmen shall be made to the Director on a form
which shall be obtained from the Director, and shall contain all the
particulars as stated in the said form, and be accompanied by all the
documents indicated on the form.
Change of 
particulars.
8. (1) Where after an issue or renewal of a licence to act as a
door-to-door salesman, there occurs a change in the particulars as
set out in the relative application form, the holder of the licence
shall forthwith notify the Director of the change in particulars.
(2) The Director may, where applicable, require the holder of
the licence to surrender his licence and identity card, and shall note
the change of particulars in the licence and identity card of the
licensee, and return the same to the licensee.

This licence shall not exempt its holder from obtaining any other
licence or permit required by or under any other law.
The holder of this licence shall notify in writing the Director
with any change of the particulars as set out in the relative
application form and shall on such change of particulars surrender
to the Director on his request this licence together with the
door-to-door salesman identification card.
