DUBBING OF TAPES REGULATIONS

Citation. 
Regulations.
Interpretation.
"Authority" means the Broadcasting Authority established by
article 118 of the Constitution of Malta;
Cap. 350.
"complainant" means an affected third party who applies to the
Authority to seek effective compliance by a broadcaster with the
provisions of the Broadcasting Act.
(2) Words and phrases used in these regulations shall have the
same meaning as is assigned to them in the Broadcasting Act.
Duties of a 
broadcaster.
3. A broadcaster shall provide any person feeling aggrieved
by the content of a broadcast, with a copy of such broadcast within
one day from such person’s request.
Fees to be levied 
by broadcaster.
4. A broadcaster shall levy the following fees from a
complainant for the granting of a copy of any broadcast:
( a ) in the case of a radio programme -
(i) a fee of ten liri for a broadcast not exceeding one
hour, which fee shall cover all costs including
the cost of the provision of an audio cassette;
(ii) an additional fee of two liri and fifty cents for an
additional one hour or part thereof; and
( b ) in the case of a television programme -
(i) a fee of fifteen liri for a broadcast not exceeding
one hour, which fee shall cover all costs
including the cost of the provision of a video
cassette;
(ii) an additional fee of two liri and fifty cents for an
additional one hour or part thereof.
Failure by 
broadcaster to 
provide copy of 
broadcast.
5. Should the broadcaster fail to provide a copy of such tape
as aforesaid within the period specified in regulation 3, the
Authority shall provide a copy of such broadcast and the fees
mentioned in regulation 4 shall be levied by the Authority.

6. The provisions of these regulations are without prejudice
to the powers of the Authority under article 21A(3) of the
Broadcasting Act.
