LOCAL COUNCILS (DELEGATION OF FUNCTION) 
(POLICE LICENCES) ORDER

Councils Act;
"locality" has the same meaning assigned to it by the Local
Councils Act;
"Minister" means the Minister responsible for Local
Government.

3. (1) The Minister has directed that Councils shall be
delegated the function to collect, on behalf of the Commissioner of
Police, payment for the renewal of Police licences leviable under
the Police Licences Regulations, referred to in subarticle (2) and
the renewal of an authority under the Use of Amusement Machines
(Restriction) Regulations. 
(2) The Police licences referred to in subarticle (1) are those
payable under items 1, 9 to 11, 25, item 44( f ) insofar as it relates to
hawkers at a fixed site either at the Valletta open air market or
outside City Gate, items 47 to 49, 52 to 55, item 87( a ), item 88( a )
and ( b ), items 90, 93, 99, 103 to 105, 109 and 110 under Part I, and
rental value licences payable under item 1 of Part II, with the
exception of licences payable in relation to clubs, of the First
Schedule to the above-mentioned regulations.
(3) The licence fees mentioned in subarticle (2) shall be paid to
the Council of the locality where the relative licence is registered.
