POTATO FOR EXPORT RULES

Title.
Interpretation.
"exporter" does not include a person who exports potatoes grown
by him.
Cap. 85.
(2) Words and phrases in these Rules not otherwise defined
shall have the same meaning as is assigned to them in the
Agricultural Produce (Export) Ordinance.
Payment, etc., by 
exporters.
3. (1) Exporters shall, not later than three days after loading
on ship any potatoes for export, pay to the Director a sum
equivalent to the total value of the potatoes so loaded or give to the
Director a bank guarantee for such amount acceptable to the said
Director, which guarantee shall be honoured by the bank within
thirty days of its date.
(2) Such total value shall be calculated on the basis of the
price declared by the relative exporter on the export licence issued
by the Director of Trade, and shall include weighing and brokerage
fees due, if any.
(3) The price declared on the export licence is to be the same as
that which the exporter shall have agreed to pay to the grower for
the potatoes purchased by the former.
Documents to be 
produced by 
exporters.
4. (1) Not later than twenty days after the date of the
completion of loading, the exporter of any potatoes shall produce to
the Director a statement containing the following details:
( a ) the name of the exporting vessel;
( b ) the date of completion of the loading operation;
( c ) the weight loaded, and the number of bags, packages
or other containers;
( d ) the name and address of the brokers, together with the
weight obtained through each broker.
(2) Any such statement shall have attached to it lists signed by
brokers showing the names and addresses of, and the weight
supplied by, each grower of the potatoes being exported.
Payment of share 
due to grower and 
to broker.
5. The Director shall, as early as possible after having
received payment of any potatoes exported, pay to the grower, to
the weigher and to the broker (if any) the share due to each of them.
