WILD THYME (PROTECTION) REGULATIONS

Prohibition.
of wild thyme or savoury (Thymus Capitatus) known in Maltese as
Sag ]tar  or to sell, purchase, use or keep such shrubs for any
purpose.
Permission in 
certain cases.
3. The Director of Agriculture may, however, give permission
in writing for the cutting down, uprooting and removal of wild
thyme, whenever the land is required for reclamation or to be
otherwise industrially exploited, or in order to reduce the number
of the shrub where it overgrows.
