DEPOSITS IN COURT REGULATIONS

superior courts.

2. (1) Where any money being legal tender in Malta, is to be
deposited pursuant to a schedule of deposit filed in the superior
courts, the money is to be presented to the cashier in the registry of
the said courts.
(2) Where any money, not being legal tender in Malta, or any
gold or silver articles or any pearls or precious stones are to be
deposited pursuant to a schedule of deposit filed in the said courts,
they shall be placed in the Il-Monti:
Provided that, if such a deposit is made after noon of a
Saturday or of any day during the period from the sixteenth day of
June of any year to the thirtieth day of September of the same year,
both days included, the above money or articles shall be deposited
in the registry of the said court and shall be transferred by the
registrar to the Il-Monti on the next following working day.

3. Where any money, being legal tender in Malta or not, or
any other effects are to be deposited pursuant to a schedule of
deposit filed in the Court of Magistrates (Malta) or in the Court of
Magistrates (Gozo), the provisions of regulation 2 shall apply,
provided, however, that when the schedule of deposit is filed in the
Courts of Magistrates (Gozo) the reference in the said regulation to
the Il-Monti shall be construed as a reference to the branch in Gozo
of the department of which the Il-Monti is a division.
