FEES FOR AIR OPERATORS’ CERTIFICATES 
REGULATIONS

3. The fees established in the Schedule shall be payable by an
applicant to the Director for the grant or variation of an air
operator’s certificate.

SCHEDULE
1. Charges for the issue of an Air Operator’s Certificate
For the first and subsequent issues of an Air Operator’s Certificate, the
applicant shall pay, depending on the maximum total weight authorised of the
heaviest aircraft listed in the Air Operator’s Certificate, the following fees:
First issue of an

Upon making an application for the first issue of an Air Operator’s Certificate,
the applicant shall pay a down-payment of 25% of the charge which shall be
forfeited by the applicant if the application is withdrawn.
2 Variation of an Air Operator’s Certificate
Upon making an application for the variation to an Air Operator’s Certificate, the
applicant shall pay the appropriate fee in respect of every specific variation
applied for as set out hereunder:
2.1 Addition of new aircraft type/s to the list of aircraft in the Air Operator’s
Certificate
if the aircraft with the highest maximum
total weight authorised does not exceed
1,500 kg. Lm150
if the aircraft with the highest maximum
total weight authorised exceeds 1,500 kg but
does not exceed 4,000 kg Lm250
if the aircraft with the highest maximum
total weight authorised exceeds 4,000 kg but

2.2 Addition of aircraft type/s already in the Air Operator’s Certificate
if the aircraft with the highest maximum
total weight authorised does not exceed

2.3. Removal of an aircraft listed in the Air Operator’s Certificate
Upon making an application for the removal of an aircraft listed in the Air
Operator’s Certificate, the applicant shall pay a fee of Lm10.
2.4. Changes to the area of operation specified in the Air Operator’s
Certificate
if the aircraft with the highest maximum
total weight authorised exceeds 2,268 kg but

Any charge not listed above will be charged Lm10 or the actua1 cost of the
investigation carried out by the Director, whichever is the higher.
