EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE ORDER

Title.
Persons entitled to 
emergency 
assistance.
Cap. 318.
2. A female, who is or has been rendered destitute by the head
of the household to the extent that she becomes an inmate of any
institute for the care and welfare of such persons, shall, in
accordance with articles 3 and 4 of this Order, be entitled to receive
from the Director of Welfare any emergency assistance in cash or
in kind that in the opinion of the Director of Welfare she may
require during any period within which she is not entitled to any
benefit, pension or assistance payable under the provisions of
articles 18, 26, 27, 28, 29 (only insofar as a disablement pension is
in payment), 30, 75, 76, 96 or 97 of the Social Security Act,
hereinafter referred to as "the Act"; so however that any such
assistance shall only be due for any period during which she is such
an inmate.
Amount and 
duration of 
emergency 
assistance in cash.
3. The maximum amount of assistance in cash to which a
female may be entitled under the provisions of this Order shall in
no case exceed ten liri in any period of seven consecutive days nor
shall it be paid for more than ten consecutive weeks or exceed one
hundred liri in the aggregate during any calendar year without the
approval of the Social Assistance Board established in terms of
articles 129 and 130 of the Act.
Amount of 
emergency 
assistance in kind.
4. The maximum amount of assistance in kind to which a
female may be entitled under the provisions of this Order shall in
no case exceed fifty liri in the aggregate without the approval of the
Social Assistance Board established in terms of articles 129 and
130 of the Act.
