DIPLOMA IN RELIGIOUS STUDIES - 
DIP. REL. STUD. - REGULATIONS

LEGAL NOTICE 146 of 1989.
Citation.
Studies - Dip. Rel. Stud. - Regulations, and these regulations shall
be applicable to courses which started in October, 1985 or later.
Regulations 
applicable.
1. The Regulations applicable for the Degree of Bachelor of
Arts in Religious Studies - B.A. (Ref. Stud.) - shall apply to
students who take the course leading to the Diploma in Religious
Studies - Dip. Rel. Stud.- with the following exceptions and
variations:
(i) The programme of studies for the Diploma in
Religious Studies - Dip. Rel. Stud. - shall be regulated
as follows:
( a ) The course shall extend normally over the first
two years of the Course for the Degree of B.A.
in Religious Studies.
( b ) The syllabus for the Diploma shall be published
concurrently with that of the B.A. for Religious
Studies.
( c ) The complete list of study-units required for the
Diploma in Religious Studies shall include
courses corresponding to 24 credits and shall
normally be taken from courses followed by
students reading for the B.A. Degree in
Religious Studies.
(ii) The written final examination shall be held at the end
of the two year course, and shall consist of such papers
as may be indicated in the syllabus.
(iii) The long essay to be submitted by the student shall be
of not less than 3,000 words, and shall be submitted at
least one month before the Final examination, unless
the Faculty Board, for good reason, allows it to be
submitted at a later date.
(iv) The overall assessment of a candidate for the Diploma
in Religious Studies shall take into account his
performance at the semester examinations, at the Final
examination and in the long essay.
Applicability.
courses commencing in or after the 1st October, 1985.
