EXTENSION OF APPLICATION OF MAINTENANCE 
ORDERS (GUERNSEY, ALDERNEY, SARK) ORDER

PROCLAMATION II of 1957 .
Title. 
Maintenance Orders (Guernsey, Alderney, Sark) Order.
Extension of 
applicability.

2. The provisions of the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for
Enforcement) Ordinance shall apply and extend to maintenance
orders made by the Courts of Guernsey, Alderney and Sark by
virtue of the Proclamation which is reproduced in the Schedule to
this Order.
SCHEDULE *
(Article 2)
WHEREAS by section 12 of the Maintenance Orders (Facilities
for Enforcement) Ordinance, it is provided that where the Governor
in Council is satisfied that reciprocal provisions have been made by
the Legislature of any part of Her Majesty’s Dominions outside
these Islands for the enforcement, within that part, of maintenance
orders made by the Court of these Islands, the Governor may, by
Proclamation, extend this Ordinance to that part, and thereupon that
part shall become a part of Her Majesty’s Dominions to which this
Ordinance extends;
AND WHEREAS I am satisfied that by virtue of the
Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) (Reciprocating
Countries) (Guernsey) (Amendment) (No.2) Ordinance 1956,
which came into operation on the 31st day of October, 1956, the
States of Guernsey have made such reciprocal provisions as
aforesaid:
NOW THEREFORE, I, ROBERT EDWARD LAYCOCK, do
declare and proclaim that, with effect from the date hereof, the
aforesaid Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement)
Ordinance shall apply and extend to maintenance orders made by
the Courts of Guernsey, Alderney and Sark.
*The Proclamation is reproduced in its original form. By virtue of the amendments,
made to the parent law, by Act LVIII of 1974, the power to extend the applicability of
the Ordinance outside Malta is vested in the President of Malta.
