BOATMEN’S FEES REGULATIONS

Agent to submit 
return to 
Comptroller of 
Customs.
2. The agent of any ship, the passengers whereof have
embarked or disembarked by means other than dg ]ajsas shall not
later than twenty-four hours after the departure of the ship, furnish
to the Comptroller of Customs a return showing the number of
passengers so embarked or disembarked within each whole day
during which the ship remained in harbour, with particulars in
respect of each passenger as to whether he has embarked only or
disembarked only or both.
Fees.
disembarking and of 3c3 in respect of each passenger so embarking
and disembarking or disembarking and embarking in any one day
shall be charged and the total amount due shall be paid by the ship
agent to the Comptroller of Customs at the time of his furnishing
the return referred to in regulation 2, with a deduction of five per
cent on the aforesaid amount, which the ship agent may retain as a
remuneration for his services.

moneys accrued.
4. The Comptroller of Customs shall, every six months, pay
to a representative of the boatmen licensed to ply their trade in the
Grand Harbour and Marsamxett Harbour any moneys accrued to
him from the payment of the fees referred to in regulation 3 and it
shall be the responsibility of such representative to distribute the
aforesaid moneys in equal proportions among the boatmen duly
licensed as aforesaid during the relevant period.
