CHAPTER 154
NOTIFICATION OF CANCER ACT
To make provision for the notification of cancer.

Enacted by ACT XXI of 1957.
Short title.
Interpretation.
Cap. 31.
"cancer" means any kind of malignant growth or disease in man;
"medical practitioner" includes persons licensed under the
Medical and Kindred Professions Ordinance to practise medicine,
surgery, obstetrics, kindred professions and dental surgery and
dentistry.
Duty of medical 
practitioner.
3. Every medical practitioner attending on or called in to visit
a patient shall forthwith, on becoming aware that the patient is
suffering from cancer in any form, send to the Superintendent of
Public Health a certificate stating the name, age, occupation and
address of the patient and the type of cancer from which, in his
opinion, the patient is suffering as well as the organ, tissue or site
which is affected by the disease.
Penalties.
section 3 shall be liable to a fine ( multa ).
