EMPTYING OF CESSPITS
REGULATIONS

GOVERNMENT NOTICE 270 of 1921, as amended by Government

S.L.10.05.
2. The emptying of cesspits shall be carried out by persons
licensed to do so by the Department of Health under the provisions
of regulation 23 of the Filth and Sewage Matter (Removal)
Regulations.
System to be used.

3. Cesspits shall be emptied by the pneumatic inodorous
system or any other system approved by the Department of Health. 
Appliances.
Superintendent of Public Works and the Chief Government Medical
Officer, and their number must be such as to ensure the
uninterrupted performance of the service.

5. The emptying, carriage and disposal of sewage, and all
other work connected with this service, shall be done under the
direction of the Department of Health.
Maximum fee.
S.L.10.05.
6. The maximum fee chargeable to the public shall not exceed
that laid down in the Filth and Sewage Matter (Removal)
Regulations.
Suspension of 
licence.
7. It shall be in the power of the Superintendent of Public
Health to suspend the licence if the conditions or directions therein
contained are not observed.
