MDINA (RESTRICTION OF ACCESS AND TRANSIT 
OF VEHICLES) REGULATIONS

Vehicles 
prohibited access.
2. No vehicle, other than  karozzini , shall have access to any
street or square inside Mdina nor circulate within that city at any
time.

3. Notwithstanding the provisions of regulation 2 -
( a ) vehicles licensed in the name of residents of Mdina,
bridal cars, ambulances, fire-fighting and police
vehicles, hearses, and vehicles being used by doctors
on call on a person within Mdina, shall have complete
access and transit therein at all times;
( b ) commercial vehicles delivering or selling goods within
the city may circulate within Mdina for such purposes
between 6.00a.m. and 10.30a.m. and between 3.30p.m.
and 5.00p.m. on all days other than Sundays and other
public holidays;
( c ) mini-buses, hired for the conveyance of children
attending schools within Mdina, may circulate within
that city between 7.30a.m. and 9.00a.m. and between
1.00p.m. and 2.00p.m. on schooldays;
( d ) taxi-cars and chauffeur driven cars shall only have
access and transit therein, without parking to transport
residents to and from hotels and residences in Mdina.
Police may grant 
temporary access.
4. (1) The Commissioner of Police may grant permission for
vehicles to enter and circulate within the city of Mdina for a
specific purpose or reason with such conditions as the
Commissioner of Police may deem proper to impose.
(2) The permit referred to shall be in writing and shall be
displayed within the vehicle in such manner that it may be seen and
read from outside the vehicle at all times that the vehicle is within
Mdina.
