or in Educational Psychology - M.Psy. (Ed.) - Degree Course

Applicability.
degree of Master of Psychology in Clinical Psychology- M.Psy.
(Clin.) - or in Counselling Psychology- M.Psy. (Couns.) - or in
Educational Psychology - M.Psy. (Ed.) - commencing in 1998.
Selection of 
applicants.
3. The number of students that may be admitted to the course
shall be limited as provided in terms of the provisions of these
regulations.
Number of 
students.
4. The number of students shall be limited to twelve students
in the following three areas of specialisation:
four students in Clinical Psychology;
three students in Counselling Psychology; and
five students in Educational Psychology.
Applicants in 
Government 
service.
5. Nine of the twelve places shall be reserved for applicants
who are working in the relevant area in Government service. These
applicants shall be nominated by the following ministries:
( a ) three applicants for the places in Clinical Psychology
from amongst those nominated by the Ministry of
Health;
( b ) two applicants for the places in Counselling
Psychology from amongst those nominated by the
Ministry of Social Welfare and Family Affairs; and
( c ) four applicants for the places in Educational
Psychology from amongst those nominated by the
Ministry of Education and National Culture.
Other places.
are not nominated by the ministries specified in regulation 5. One
place in each area of specialisation shall be reserved for these

Criteria for 
selection.
7. (1) All applicants must satisfy the special course
requirements as stipulated in the Master of Psychology in Clinical
Psychology - M.Psy. (Clin.) - or in Counselling Psychology -
M.Psy. (Couns.) - or in Educational Psychology - M.Psy. (Ed.) -
Degree Course Regulations.
(2) Applicants shall be selected after an interview by the
Board of Studies. The Board of Studies shall take into
consideration the qualifications, experience, aptitude and
references, which shall be weighted as follows:
( a ) Qualifications 25%
( b ) Experience 25%
( c ) Aptitude 35%
( d ) References 15%.
