RATS INFESTATION (PREVENTION) 
REGULATIONS

Title.
(Prevention) Regulations.
Prohibition of 
accumulation of 
rags, etc.
2. The owner or occupier of any land, dwelling or other
building shall not keep or allow to be kept on them any
accumulation of rags, tins, boxes, bottles and other articles that
may afford harbourage for rats, and shall take reasonable and
proper precautions to prevent such dwelling or other building
becoming infested by rats.
Duty to keep walls, 
etc., in good state 
of repair.
3. It shall be the duty of the owner of any building to keep in
a good state of repair the walls and floors of basements and the
floors of yards and of ground-floors, with a view to prevent rats and
mice burrowing into and forming runs in such buildings.
Applicability of 
regulations.
Cap. 10.
4. These Regulations may also be applied, at the discretion of
the Superintendent of Public Health, to premises licensed under
article 130 of the Code of Police Laws.
