FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE (PREVENTION) 
REGULATIONS

3. Goats intended to be shipped to Gozo shall be conveyed to
the civil abattoir, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.,
and kept there at the risk and expense of the owner, until tested for
undulant fever.

5. Animals intended to be shipped to Gozo shall be conveyed
to the landing place at Jetties Wharf for inspection by the Principal
Government Veterinary Surgeon or his representative before
shipment.

6. If any animal is found to be affected with foot-and-mouth
disease, it may be removed to the quarantine station and kept there
under observation for such period at the Superintendent of Public
Health may require, or subjected to any other sanitary precautions
which that officer may see fit to impose.

9. No cattle, offal, fodder, litter, or dung shall be removed
from any approved pen without the permission in writing of the
Principal Government Veterinary Surgeon who may refuse such
permission or grant permission under such conditions and
restrictions as he may deem fit.
