BEE KEEPING REGULATIONS
3rd November, 1992
LEGAL NOTICE 110 of 1992.
Title.
Interpretation.
requires-
"Director" means the Director of Agriculture and Fisheries and
includes any officer of the department duly authorised by the
Director to act on his behalf;
"to keep" means to rear for the production of honey, beeswax,
other subsidiary products and the pollination of fruit trees, flowers
and vegetables.
Registration of bee 
colonies.
3. Any person who is the owner or has the control of any
number of bee colonies or who knows that a colony is nesting on
his property, shall register such number of bee colonies with the
Director.
Place where bee 
colonies are kept.
4. The Director may at any time enter any place where bee
colonies are kept or are established, or where he suspects that bee
keeping is practised or bee hives exist, for the purpose of
inspecting such colonies.
Movement of 
diseased colonies.
5. Nobody can move diseased colonies from any apiary
without a written permit from the Director.
Destruction of 
diseased colonies.
6. The Director may order the destruction of any diseased bee
colony.
