PARKING PLACES REGULATIONS

Title. 
Regulations.
Interpretation.
requires-
"agent" means the person employed by a contractor for the
management of a scheduled parking place;
"car park attendant" means any person employed by a contractor
for the purpose of regulating the parking of cars in a scheduled
parking place;
"contractor" means the person to whom a scheduled parking
place has been allocated by the Government;
"scheduled parking place" means a parking place shown in the
Schedule to these Regulations. 
Car park 
attendants.
3. (1) In every scheduled parking place there must be at least
one uniformed attendant on duty during such times of the day and
the night as the Commissioner of Police, with the advice of the
Traffic Control Board, may direct.
(2) Any additional attendant or attendants shall also be
uniformed while on duty.
Uniforms.
employee shall be as approved by the Commissioner of Police with
the advice of the Traffic Control Board.
Fees chargeable.
exceeding twelve hours, or an alternative parking fee which shall
allow a motorist to park one particular car any number of times
during any one day.
(2) The fees chargeable under sub-regulation (1) of this
regulation shall not exceed those fixed from time to time by the
Commissioner of Police with the advice of the Traffic Control
Board; such fees shall be published in the Government Gazette, and
shall be prominently displayed on a notice board in the scheduled
parking place: 
Provided that such fees may be fixed either generally or for
particular scheduled parking places.
(3) There shall be no reservation of parking space for any
reason whatsoever.
Payment of fee.
shall refuse to pay the appropriate fee contemplated in regulation 5
immediately alter having parked the car therein.

Tariff of fees. 7. The tariff of fees shall be displayed conspicuously at the
entrance to any scheduled parking place.
Tickets. 8. A ticket shall be given to the person parking a car in a
scheduled parking place showing the fee paid and the registration
number of the relative car.
Obstruction of 
carriageway.
9. No person may park a car in any of the carriageways inside
a scheduled parking place or obstruct in any other way such
carriageways.
Responsibility of 
contractor or his 
agent.
10. (1) The contractor and his agent, if any, shall be
responsible to ensure that the provisions of regulation 9 are strictly
complied with.
(2) The contractor shall be responsible for any acts or
omissions on the part of the car park attendants during the
discharge of their duties.
Drivers to obey 
Police orders or 
directives given by 
contractor or his 
employee.
11. Every person driving in or out of, or parking a car in, a
scheduled parking place shall comply with any Police orders or
with any directives given to him by the contractor or his agent or by
car park attendants employed therein.
Applicability of 
regulation 65 of the 
Motor Vehicles 
Regulations.
12. The provisions of regulation 65 of the Motor Vehicles
Regulations, shall, in so far as they are not incompatible with these
Regulations, apply to car park attendants on duty at a scheduled
parking place.
