This list is recommended reading. The Web is likely to be the biggest source of reference material for this
course. These references will be made available in the on-line notes for
the course, during lectures, or both.
Some of the lectures will be based on paper-based resources and will be
added to this list as and when (but will always be announced during
lectures).
