Prof Irene Sciriha, Dept of Mathematics,
Faculty of Science, has been elected to serve on the committee of The International Academy of
Mathematical Chemistry at its June 2024 General Meeting in
Dubrovnik, after she has been chosen by the nominating committee on the basis
of her publications.
Prof Irene Sciriha delivered a
presentation as keynote speaker at the Computers in Scientific Discovery
10 (CSD10) held at KULAK, the Catholic University of Leuven Belgium, 28th
to 30th June, 2024. https://csd10.be/
Head of delegation at 10th
Slovenian Conference on Graph Theory: SICGT
Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. 18-24 June 2023. Led three members of the GCGN
project team who gave talks to present their research.
Mini-Symposium: Chemical Graph
Theory in SICGT2023
A special sub-theme concerns the class of nut graphs as a special tribute
to Prof. Irene Sciriha (University of Malta), a pioneer in this area.
These graphs have emerging applications in chemistry and molecular
physics.

Research Overview
My Work is licensed under a

My main areas of research are in graph
theory, linear algebra and combinatorics. I am particularly interested in graph
spectra, the polynomial reconstruction conjecture and applications to
chemistry. I have also done some work on outerplanar graphs and group theory.
