| Abstract | A maxillary midline supernumerary tooth is the most common type of supernumerary tooth. We present a case of a mesiodens, preventing eruption of a permanent central incisor. The aetiology, diagnosis and the effect of these developmental anomalies upon the dentition are discussed. |
