AbstractThe rapid advances being made in the imaging field are affecting every section in radiology. Imaging of pancreatitis is no exception. This research project was performed to assess the current situation regarding the imaging of pancreatitis in Malta. The researcher concluded from both empirical observation of the current situation of the imaging of pancreatitis in Malta, and the literature reviewed that the use of NM imaging with MRCP sequences could be a valuable addition to the current imaging modalities available for the imaging of pancreatitis in Malta. On the basis of the findings, recommendations have been proposed to add MRI with MRCP sequences with the possible imaging modalities that could be used for the imaging of Pancreatitis in Malta.
