Deborah Cassar Born in Ghajnsielem Gozo Deborah Cassar (a sixteen-year-old-singer) started her singing carrier at the very young age of nine years.
 
 From the beginning of her carrier she participated in many festivals both locally and also abroad.. She always obtained good placing in all the Festivals she participated in. In her free time she also dances and plays the piano.
 
 Recently she also took part in the Junior Eurovision song contest with the song 'Closer' composed by herself. During the performance she was accompanied by six dancers from the YADA dance Company.
 
 After this success she took part in the Golden Cross International Singing Festival for the second time were she emerged as the winner of the prestigious FIDOF award and in the month of November 2005 she had the opportunity to represent Malta in a Festival in Moscow. Two years ago she also took part in the Golden Cross for the very first time where she won the Best Public Opinion award and in the month of October 2004 she represented Malta in a festival in Macedonia where she won the Diploma as the 'Princess of the Festival'.
