Linguistic Forms delimit Interpretations

Linguistic forms at different levels interact in a loose and unpredictible way in order to delimit the interpretation. Note that linguistic form in generally insufficient in itself to actually determine interpretation. Context also plays a role.

The information accessed in online language processing is typically made available in an order determined by the input stream, not by the levels of representation in some grammatical theory
