Announcements by Dr. E. Cachia
PLEASE REMEMBER: Those who agreed to come for tomorrow's (Tuesday 21/11/00) formal event should be at the NT lab at 09:30. Not later please. Any others who wish to come please do so by all means....we need at least 8 to 10 students in the lab for the Minister's visit. IT IS OF VITAL IMPORTANCE THAT ALL OF YOU WHO AGREED COME! WE NEED AT LEAST 8 to 12 STUDENTS IN THE LAB FOR MEDIA REASONS--- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO COME. Dress adequately for the occasion (no torn jeans or bare belly buttons :-) Help us put up a good representation and it will only help you in the long run. Thank you for your effort. C-ya.
PLEASE NOTE: The Lecture planned for Tuesday 21st November is BEING CANCELLED.
Item dated 26/10/00:
I AM QUITE DISAPPOINTED at the fact that NO ONE turned
up for your scheduled lab session today, Thursday 26/10/00 between 16:00
and 17:00 in the CSAI NT lab. You were explicitly told to do so during
your last lecture on Tuesday 17/10/00! PLEASE NOTE, that marks will be
deducted (from the 10% associated with unit lab work) whenever you fail
attendance. This includes your failed attendance today. Let's hope that
such an incident will not repeat itself again. Many people are co-operating
to make these laboratory sessions work and be useful to you. Please don't
let them, and me, down as you did today. Thank you.
ALSO IMPORTANT: Please bring a floppy disc along with
you for lab sessions in order to keep save copies of your work. This is
solely in your interest.
Item dated 22/10/00:
Please note, that the initial assignment text and instructions are now available on the assignments page of this unit (CSA304). TEAM LEADERS SHOULD READ AND TAKE ACTION ON THESE INITIAL INSTRUCTONS AS A MATTER OF URGENCY. Try to get at them at your earliest.

P.S. As I am writing this announcement, students are
turning up in my office who have just now registered for this unit! This
fact is going to play havoc with the above lists. THEREFORE, we might have
to do this exercise all over again using 5 groups of 5 members each. Sorry
but I cannot do otherwise if people register late. New updated lists could
be posted here in the very near future.
Item dated 13/10/00:

Item dated 13/10/00:
As yet (today, Friday 13/10/00 @ 13:00), I have only received valid confirmation from 2 work groups with 6 students each and 1 NOT VALID notification from a group with only 4 students. PLEASE remember, that after today at 17:00, I will not accept any more group-makeup notifications and will proceed to assign students to groups according to the registration list.
