  • Graduated as a Science teacher with a B.Ed (Hons) in 1982.
  • 1982 - 1995 Taught Science and Biology in Secondary and  post-Secondary   institutions.
  • 1995 - 2006 Taught advanced level Biology at the GFA Junior College, University of Malta.
  • 2006 - Joined Faculty of Education, University of Malta, lecturing in Educational Technology, Design and Innovation. 
  • 2007 - Appointed coordinator of the EU Grundtvig Project PAVE: Promoting Audio-Visual Education
  • 2008 - Obtained doctorate (Summa Cum Laude) in Instructional Psychology and Technology from the University of Joensuu, Finland. PhD thesis: Learning through collaborative gaming: A Process-oriented Pedagogy.
  • 2008 - 11: Coordinator of the Programme in Educational Technology, Research and Innovation within the Faculty of Education.
  • 2008 - 11: Coordinator of the Centre for Educational Technology, Research and Innovation (CETRI).
  • Since 2011: Coordinator of the Master in Technology-enhanced learning (MiTEL).
  • Since 2012 full member of the Association of Teacher Educators in Europe (ATEE) and member of the 'Research and Development Community for Teacher Education and Digital Technology.' 
  • Since 2013 Senior Lecturer in Technology-enhanced Learning.
  • Since 2019: Coordinator of the Master of Arts in Digital Citizenship Education
  • Member of staff in the Department of Leadership for Learning and Innovation
