Welcome...

As you will see from the content of my site my primary area of research lies mostly in the use of Virtual Worlds (WWs) and Social Networking (SN) for Education. There have been many discussions about pedagogical frameworks, interaction processes, use of technology for teaching and learning, but I would like to bring all of these together under one single virtual world and explore ways and means of measuring the effectiveness in the teaching/learning paradigm so as to come up with a model for best practice guidelines in the design of VWs for Education.

Recently I have started investigating the use of Twitter for Research and Classroom practices. Speaking and reading about it has nothing to do with actually making use of it in practice and I must say I am truly impressed - and I am sure that I am really just seeing the tip of the iceberg here.

Speaking about Social Networking for the classroom, I have recently - again - come across a really cool social networking platform for learning, called Edmodo. I would suggest you try it out with your own students because it really looks functional and fun... two strong combinations for effective learning.

I would suggest you would visit my Links section, for more information and details about other sites which I make use of to disseminate a little of the mash of knowledge which is out there, and which is of particular interest to the different domains within technology enhanced learning.
