Research Grants

Presented a proposal for and was awarded 3 Internal Research Grants by the University of Malta. The grants were used to finance the following project:

ICADMIC

ICADMIC (Intelligent CAD for Micro-Scale features) was a research project set up in 2009, with the aim of contributing towards high value added manufacturing in Malta. The project had the following main objectives:

  • To investigate the problems encountered by designers in the micro-scale domain
  • To generate a number of guidelines which can be used to help these designers during the generation of design solutions
  • To design and implement an Intelligent CAD (ICAD) tool which effectively presents the captured guidelines to designers when required
