Franco Bruni, born in
Rome Italy, 1963, completed his Bachelors as Dottore in Lettere
at "La Sapienza", 1989, Rome, Italy; in 1994 he went on to obtain his diploma
in Librarianship from the same university. Finally in 1998, he received an
Doctorate in Musicology from University
of Sorbonne, Paris, France. From 1986 to 1990 he worked as librarian for
the St. Cecilia Conservatory
Library in Rome. Then in 1994 at the
Discoteca di Stato (National Sound Archives) in Rome. Awarded
a three-year scholarship by the Maltese Government that would last from 1991
to 1993, he carried out research in the archives of the Cathedral Museum
in Mdina, studying the activities of the music chapel and its repertoire.
From October 1994 to September 1999, Dr. Bruni was appointed as a
Lecturer in Musicology , and part-time Librarian at the University
of Malta with a five year contract. In May 2000 he has been appointed publication
officer at the École
française de Rome d’histoire et archéologie . Dr.
Bruni has published essays and books, read papers in several
conferences and is currently a contributor of articles and |
