Research
Daniel Micallef's research interests include wind energy, wind engineering and building physics. His approach in addressing the research questions in these specific areas generally incorporates a mix between experiments and simulations. His main speciality however is the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and the use/development of mathematical models. In terms of experimentation he has made use of Stereo Particle Image Velocimetry in the field of wind turbine aerodynamics.
