Options from the airport to your hotel

  • If you are in groups sharing a taxi could be a good option. It will cost you 20 EUROs from airport to Sliema region. In the arrivals there is a taxi desk where you prepay for the trip.
  • In the luggage collection room of the airport, there is a desk of 'Malta Transfer'. They offer a mini-bus service for transportation to hotels. They charge 8 EUROs per person and you have to book at their desk.
  • Outside the arrivals there is the Arriva public transport. For getting to Sliema or Gzira bus number X2 is the most convenient. It takes about 40-55 minutes and a 2 hours ticket costs 2.20 EUROs. For Kappara hotel you can take X1 and X2 and get out at the University campus or Mater Dei Hospital (see map further down).

 

From the hotels to the Faculty of Health Sciences

Weekly bus tickets will be provided to all of you and will be covered by the IP Programme. More info about collection of the tickets will be provided soon.

  • In this map you will find the bus stops. Most of you stay close to one of the three bus stops indicated at the map. You have to get out at bus stop: Mater Dei 1 or Mater Dei 2. You will see in the map how to reach the Faculty. The meeting place is at the entrance of the Faculty.

Take bus 202 or 203 at about 8.30 from Sliema region in order to arrive on time (frequency is about every 30')

OR

Take bus X2 at about 8.20 from Sliema region in order to arrive on time (frequency is about every 30')

  • People staying at Kappara hotel can come on foot
